AphOC: Lombardy-Venetia, Tyrol

Un OC di Axis Power Hetalia, anime molto divertente: ho voluto disegnare alcune regioni a cavallo delle Alpi, coinvolte nel periodo in cui chibi Feliciano abita a casa di Austria. Da sinistra a destra abbiamo: Lombardia, Veneto, Trentino, Alto Adige/Suedtirol e il Tirolo austriaco.

Lombardia: l'ho immaginata come una ragazza, perché il suo nome è femminile. Tra le varie regioni è quella che più somiglia a Feliciano, infatti la Lombardia è la regione più popolata dell'Italia settentrionale ed è quindi quella che dovrebbe più influenzare l'aspetto del personaggio originale. Il suo costume riprende quello di Lucia dei Promessi Sposi, illustre romanzo Ottocentesco ambientato proprio in Lombardia. Si trova vicino al Veneto perché, nel periodo rappresentato, i due territori assieme formano il Regno del Lombardo Veneto, parte dell'Impero asburgico. Non sembra però molto felice di questa situazione!

Veneto: nella fisionomia ho cercato di riprendere quei tratti tipicamente veneti che noto spesso nella gente che conosco di questa regione. L'espressione è piuttosto scanzonata, perché i veneti mi hanno sempre dato l'impressione di essere il popolo più allegro e "casinista" dell'Italia a nord del Po! :-D Infatti notate come fa il cascamorto con Lombardia! Il costume è quello caratteristico dei gondolieri: so che non è affatto rappresentativo dell'intero veneto, ma mi piaceva rappresentarlo così, anche perché Venezia è indubbiamente ciò che rende famoso il Veneto in tutto il mondo.

Trentino e Sudtirolo: detto anche "Welschtirol" (ovvero "Tirolo Celtico"), il Trentino si colloca geograficamente e culturalmente tra l'area padana e quella tirolese. Si trova vicino al suo gemello Sudtirolo, che però gli volta le spalle con espressione irritata, preferendo rivolgersi verso suo fratello Nordtirolo. Fisicamente Sudtirolo e Trentino si somigliano molto: il primo ha i capelli biondo oro e gli occhi azzurri, il secondo ha i capelli biondo cenere e gli occhi verde acqua (come il Veneto, suo parente). Il Sudtirolo regge con orgoglio la bandiera del Tirolo, regione storica trilingue (tedesco, italiano, ladino) lacerata dalla Grande Guerra, a cui si sente ancora molto legato. Trentino e Sudtirolo non hanno il tipico ciuffo ribelle di Feliciano, perché non hanno mai vissuto nella sua casa se non negli ultimi 90 anni.

Tirolo del Nord: il Land austriaco del Tirolo non somiglia molto al personaggio che in Hetalia rappresenta l'Austria, perché, geograficamente e linguisticamente, si avvicina più alla zona tedesca della Svizzera che non al resto dell'Austria. Per questo motivo ha i capelli biondi e gli occhi azzurri proprio come Svizzera. Ho rimarcato comunque la sua nazionalità nel bordo superiore del calzettoni, che riprendono i colori della bandiera austriaca. La sua espressione è serena come quella di Trentino, perché le complicate questioni nazionali dei decenni scorsi non l'hanno sconvolto più di tanto, a differenza di suo fratello Sudtirolo.

Lombardy (nowadays in Italy): she is a girl, because "Lombardy" is a female noun. She resembles Feliciano, because Lombardy is the most populated region in Northern Italy and therefore she has a strong influence on Feliciano's look. Her costume is the same as the character "Lucia" of the famous Italian novel "I Promessi Sposi", which was written in this period and is settled in Lombardy: this is the typical Lombard rural costume indeed.
Lombardy is near Veneto because, in this period, they were both under Austria in the "Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia", as a part of the Absburgic Empire. But Lombardy doesn't seem so happy of this situation! In fact Lombardy fought hard to obtain independence from Austria. Moreover, she has a more serious character than Veneto.

Veneto (nowadays in Italy): his lineaments represent a typical person from Veneto. He is easy-going, in fact people from Veneto always seemed me as the most happy and rowdy of all Northern Italy. You can also notice how he is trying to make a pass at Lombardy! The costume is typical of the famous gondoleers from Venice, the historical and nowadays capital city of the Veneto region. Veneto is very heterogeneous and this costume is not really representative of every area, but the city of Venice is definitely what makes this region famous all over the world.


Trentino and South Tyrol (nowadays in Italy):
Trentino or in german language"Welschtirol" (Celtic Tyrol) is the Italian-speaking Tirol, which is located, both culturally and geographically, between the Italian Po Valley and the German-speaking parts of Tyrol. He is near his twin, South Tyrol, which turns his back on him and prefers his brother North-Tyrol, since he speaks German like him. Southtyrol and Trentino are very similar: the first one's hair is golden blond and his eyes are blue; the second one's hair is ash blonde and his eyes are water green, just as Veneto's, his relative.
South Tyrol is proud of his Tyrol flag: Tyrol is a trilingual (german, italian, ladin) historical region which was lacerated during the First World War and separated between Italy and Austria. South Tyrol is still today very bound to his Tirol roots.
Both Trentino and South Tirol's hair has not the Feliciano's rebel curl, because they have never lived in his house, except the last 90 years.

North Tirol (nowadays in Austria): The Austrian Land of Tirol is not very similar to the Hetalian character representing Austria, because - both geographically and linguistically - he is more similar to Swiss than to the other regions of Austria. His hair is blond and his eyes are blue, just like Swiss's. His nationality is pointed out in the upper part of his knee socks, which represent the colours of the Austrian flag. His expression is serene and calm, just like the expression of Trentino, because the complicated national problems of the last decades didn't shock him very much, unlike is brother South Tyrol.. which is upset still today!
